We started and completed the Marciano Estate custom wine cellar in 2012.
This beautiful project was done in conjunction with Backen, Gillam and Kroeger Architects, and Ledcor Construction on the project. We’ve worked with both firms on various wine cellars throughout the Napa Valley and have gained a strong business relationship with the companies over the years.
We selected the walnut material for its high quality, and then got started on the design phases. The overall wine racking scope consisted of individual bottle storage, adjustable shelving units and large format horizontal displays. We had about four different designs before the owner’s approval. We then processed the order and moved the racking into production which took about six weeks.
The color of Walnut is almost similar to Redwood and both look great for rustic wine cellar designs.
Once production was completed we shipped the wine racks to the job site. Ledcor decided to hire one of our preferred installers for the wine rack assembly and installation. The result was a gorgeous octagon shaped custom wine cellar with approximate capacity of 4000 bottles. We also supplied a custom rolling ladder.
We really enjoyed working on this project and it is certainly a “must see” if you are touring the Napa Valley.
Here’s an example of another project we did using wooden wine racks. This time, instead of walnut, we used white oak.
